Frequently Asked Questions

When will my order ship?
If you do not specify a ship date, we assume we are to ship as soon as possible. We are "The Home of Sudden Service" and we generally ship your order the same day. If not the same day, it goes out the next best day for you to receive it before the weekend.

Do you have a minimum order?
We do not have a minimum order. You can order as few as one plant if that is all you need. Keep in mind there is a minimum charge for Freight of $15.00.

Credit Cards
Your credit card will be charged when we set a ship date for your order.  When you choose Credit Card for your payment choice it will take you to a secure payment portal where your credit card information is stored using tokenization. It is now a requirement of the credit card companies to secure cards on line in this manner for the best security. 

We do give you a second option called Credit Card – Will Call which allows you to call us with your number prior to shipping.  Please remember to use the Credit Card – Will Call choice for back orders and future orders so your card is not charged in advance.  Again, we will take your card information by phone and store it in a virtual terminal that secures your card number through tokenization, the latest technology for securing card data.

How is freight calculated?
Most of our orders ship by UPS. Freight is calculated by weight with a minimum freight of $15.00. Our shipping page (found under Resources) has a chart that list estimated freight by the piece depending on the size of plant and to what zone we are shipping. Your freight will be calculated at check out.

We are now shipping larger orders by a LTL Carrier.  If your order is for 1000+ containers we will check UPS vs. LTL for the most economical freight.

If shipping by an LTL carrier (Tractor Trailer) plants will be boxed, palletized and shrink wrapped.  Delivery location must be able to receive a tractor trailer delivery.  Please let us know in Comments if you do not accept palletized shipments.

Once your order is placed we will calculate freight and determine the best way to ship.  We will confirm this with you before shipping.  Your payment will be adjusted when we finalize the shipment.

How do I use my Coupons?
You may only use one of each published coupon per year within their allotted times. Coupons will have a code to use when ordering on line. This is a new feature on our website so we have added a coupon page under Resources to list the coupon codes for any coupons you have received for the past year. Remember, you may use each of these one time per year.

Do you have volume discounts?
Yes, the volume discounts are per item. They are as follows: 5% for 1000+; 7% for 2500+; 10% for 5000+; 15% for 10000+

We also have what we call quantity breaks per item for smaller quantities. These are given in intervals of how the size is normally packed. These are our published price breaks. Bare Root breaks are: (1-49) (50-249) (250+) multiples of 50; 2 ½" Pot breaks are: (1-53) (54-107) (108+) multiples of 54; Classic Pint breaks are: (1-24) (25-249) (250+) multiples of 25

What is a "Classic Pint"?
This is a 3 ½" wide by 3 ½" tall pot. It holds a pint of soil thus the name "Classic Pint".

What are the dimensions of a 2 ½" Pot?
They are 2 ½" wide by 3 ¼" tall.

Can Bare Root Material be planted directly into the landscape?
Yes. Our plants are all landscape ready with root systems strong enough to plant right into the ground.

How is the bare root material packed?
We line the boxes with newspaper and put damp sphagnum moss around the root systems to keep them moist. Most bare roots are bundled in groups of 50 plants. Again you may order any quantity you need. It does not have to be multiples of 50.

How many pots are there per box?
2 ½" Pots -- up to 54 in a box (thus the quantity price breaks are at 54+ and 108+)

3.25" Pots --up to 35 in a box (quantity breaks are 25+ and 250+ same as Classic Pints below)

Classic Pints -- up to 25 in a box (thus the quantity price breaks are at 25+ and 250+)

Keep in mind we sell by the piece. You can order any quantity you need. We can put a pot or two on top or ship a partial box without a problem.

Can I order in advance?
You may place an order anytime. If you are not ready to receive your order please let us know what date you need it shipped. You can put this information in the Comments box when checking out.

How do we handle back orders?
If we are out of a plant you are requesting, we will back order the item and call you to setup a ship date as soon as it is ready. The estimated available date for any out of stock item can be found on our availability list or by clicking into the item itself. We always welcome calls about availability. Please remember to use the Credit Card - Will Call choice for back orders so your card is not charged in advance. The Credit Card - Will Call lets you place an order and call us with your credit card number before we ship. Our site charges credit cards at checkout if you instead choose Credit Card.

Can I order by phone?

Can I order by fax?
You may fax us your order or request a quotation by fax. Our fax number is 706-369-9844.

Do we charge sales tax?
We only charge sales tax to customers in Georgia. If you are a customer in Georgia and do not want to pay sales tax upfront you must put in your sales tax number in your account profile.  If the tax exempt field is left blank you will be charged sales tax according to your county. 

Do we have plant tags?
We have printed identification tags for most of our items. We do not carry picture tags. You must request plant tags when you order.
