Boston Ivy

Parthenocissus tricuspidata is a deciduous, creeping vine.  Spreads indefinitely.  Immature foliage emerges with 3 leaflets maturing to a full 4" - 8" wide, glossy, dark green leaf with 3 lobes.  Foliage is an outstanding deep red in the Fall.  Boston Ivy climbs aggressively with its adhesive tendrils. Will climb 30'-50'  Birds are attracted to the blackish blue berries that follow the insignificant blooms of late Spring.  Recommended for erosion control and naturalizing.  Mature prostrate height is 6" - 8".
