Dianthus gratianopolitanus 'Firewitch'

Cheddar Pinks

Dianthus gratianopolitanus 'Fire Witch' is a Cheddar Pinks variety.  Fire Witch is evergreen with linear, blue-green foliage with a mat forming, mounding habit.  A showy profusion of fragrant, fringed, magenta pink, 1" blooms cover the foliage in Spring.  Deadheading increases bloom time.  Will rebloom in the Summer but not as profusely as in Spring.  Benefits from a light trim after blooming.  Dianthus 'Fire Witch' prefers well-drained, slightly alkaline soil with average water.  Fire Witch Dianthus is heat and humidity resistant as well as cold tolerant.  Good choice for borders, edging and rock gardens.  Mature height 5"-6", spread 12"-18"
